Building upon the collective impact of philanthropy, the KU Giving Circle allows members to unite their financial power by creating, nurturing and impact KU through annual gifts. Funds are pooled on an annual basis and directed to support selected community grant recipients, informed by an annual member vote.Â
As KU faculty and staff, you honor the college every day with your time and talents.
We hope you'll consider an additional gift to help us achieve continued excellence. Please note that you can designate your gift to support a specific scholarship, department fund, athletic team and more. The Foundation charges no gift fees, so you can rest assured that 100% of your contribution will be used for your intended purposes.

You can support the KU Foundation through the SECA campaign. The State Employee Appeal (SECA) Fund Drive was established in 1977 as the only charitable campaign allowed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in its state offices. The KU Foundation is now listed as one of the participating non-profit agencies. The SECA campaign will launch this fall.

The Old Main Society was established to encourage, support and celebrate deferred gifts that ensure our university and foundation remain vital and vibrant for those who come after us.
Â
Deferred charitable gifts, also known as planned gifts or legacy gifts, offer the greatest opportunity for the foundation and the donor while building long-term financial stability for Kutztown University. These gift arrangements are a way to reflect your values by leaving a lasting philanthropic legacy, as well as offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on a student’s experience. In addition, they often have considerable tax advantages for the donor and/or family members.

If you are interested in learning more about planned gifts or wish to share with us that you have already made a bequest to benefit Kutztown University in your estate plans, please contact us at 610.683.4110 or together@kuf.orgÂ

Types of Gifts
Unrestricted gifts enable the KU Foundation to provide scholarships, support alumni activities, and engage students, faculty and staff. Please support the Annual Fund today!
The principal of an endowed gift is maintained in perpetuity and only the interest income is spent, under the provisions of the Foundation's endowment income spending policy.
To create a new endowed scholarship fund, a minimum gift of $25,000 is required; however, gifts of any size can be added to existing endowed funds. Endowment gifts may be earmarked for specific scholarships or programs, or they may be unrestricted and support future needs of the University through the unrestricted endowment fund.
Restricted gifts are intended to support a specific purpose, but the gift is spent in the same fiscal year it is received. These gifts can be made for scholarships, academic departments, programs, athletics, capital building projects, events, awards and activities. There is no minimum amount for a restricted gift. For assistance or more information, call 610-683-4110.
Planned gifts allow you to maximize your assets and make larger gifts than you may have thought possible. Bequests can be either simple or complex and they can be used to make endowed, restricted or unrestricted gifts. If you're considering a planned gift to KU, please contact us at 610-683-4110 or ogeka@kuf.org.Â
